REX students present summer research

Carl Montemayor (Southwest Career and Technical Academy student) and Caroline Thomas (Green Valley High School student) presented their research at the 2017 Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium. Carl and Caroline spent six weeks conducting research in the Hedlund Lab as part of the Summer Research EXperience (REX) program. Read their abstracts here.
The REX program, aimed at providing introductory STEM research experience to high school and community college students, is sponsored by the National Science Foundation.
